FRUSTRATION TO HOPE: LEARNING AND THE BRAIN

Participants will learn to use research based cognitive developmental exercises designed to strengthen executive function skills.

Adoption News

STARTING THE JOURNEY

We know that adoption can be scary. So many unknowns and so many possibilities. At Chosen for Life Ministries, we want to advocate for children in need of the love, comfort, and protection of a forever family. But we also want to help families at whatever point they are in the journey.

One part of our Adoption Support Program is our Adoption Assistance Grant. This grant is our way of helping to eliminate financial barriers to adoption for Christian couples in the state of Georgia. We also seek to help families through other steps in the process.

We’ve created a resource page for adopting families. There you will find a list of recommended adoption agencies, suggested books, other financial resources, and much more. Check out our Adoption Resources page, and pass this resource along to your friends or family who may benefit.

Adopting at anytime can be overwhelming, but doing so in the midst of an ongoing global pandemic can be especially difficult. If you are considering adopting, we would love to help you as you begin. Email Amanda Greavu, if you have any questions.

Foster Care News

FIND YOUR ROLE THIS YEAR

At Chosen for Life Ministries, we believe that EVERYONE has a role to play to in caring for foster, adopted, and vulnerable children. We believe this because we have seen over and over again how small, simple acts can create significant change.

Foster mom, Jennifer Burrell shares about the support a Care Team offers, “Care Teams make all the difference in the world. The first two foster experiences I had, we had no Care Team, and at times felt very overwhelmed. I think all foster families deserve a Care Team to help support.”

Foster mom, Mandy Rice adds, “Just knowing we have a team praying and that cares for our foster kids is such a huge support. They also surprised us last Christmas with a gift card to our favorite restaurant and the offer to babysit all of our kids - which was so kind and thoughtful!”

YOU can be a part of that kind of support this year. We would love to help you find your role! If you are interested in serving on a Care Team in 2021, take the first step and attend a virtual Volunteer Orientation. Simply RSVP for one of the events below.

January Volunteer Orientation: Thursday, January 14, at 7:00 p.m.

February Volunteer Orientation: Tuesday, February 16, at 8:00 p.m.
