FINANCIAL RESOURCES FOR ADOPTING FAMILIES
Adoption expenses continue to average between $30,000-40,000. For almost every family, expenses are a financial barrier to adoption. Through our Adoption Assistance Grant, we want to lower the barriers for Christian families in Georgia. On July 1, our third quarter grant cycle will open. Applications are due by September 15. For more information on our grant requirements and eligibility, visit our grants webpage.
In addition, we have a list of other financial resources available. Between grants, family fundraising, and interest-free loans, adoption IS possible. If you have questions about funding an adoption, contact Amanda Greavu.
Foster Care News
DFCS APPRECIATION
On Friday, June 25, we had the opportunity to show our support for DFCS. The staff work hard doing such difficult jobs, so we make it a priority to tell them monthly how much we value the work they do with small gifts. Twice a year, we like to do a little something extra. Thanks to some tasty donuts from Krispy Kreme and our good friends at Java Joy, we had a great morning celebrating the DFCS staff and all of their hard work.
If your church (or small group) might be interested in supporting DFCS by donating a small gift to the staff one month this year, please contact Kelly Brooks. The support and services that DFCS provides our communities is critical! It is our joy to send them a little encouragement each month!
