Thank you, Volunteers!

Chosen for Life Ministries has been blessed by the many volunteers who have given their time and energy through Athens Church's Be Rich Campaign. We are encouraged by each volunteer who has chosen to join us as we strive to offer support and resources to and local foster and adoptive families!

This past Monday night was our Letter Writing Campaign, and we were blown away by the work that was accomplished in just a couple of hours! We had volunteers writing letters of encouragement and appreciation to local foster families and the DFCS staff who work relentlessly every day to care for children in our community. We even had some energetic helpers drawing Christmas pictures for every card we delivered! 

Our creative helpers added their own personal touch to every letter with festive hand-drawn pictures!

Volunteers also helped us package gifts that were delivered to local DFCS workers and foster families. Cookies were made with love by a group from Watkinsville First Baptist Church and tied together with donated Chick-fil-A Calendars by our volunteers. This week we delivered the letters and gifts to Clarke and Oconee County DFCS offices. The staff were surprised and very thankful to receive these thoughtful gifts!

DFCS Leadership and caseworkers were so excited to receive these gifts! The work they do is significant, and these gifts showed how appreciative we are of their work and efforts every day!

Thank you to every volunteer who joined us this week and allowed us to bless others with the gifts and letters you helped create. Our hope is that the encouragement and gifts will show these staff and foster parents that they are appreciated and that the work they do truly has an impact. Chosen for Life would not have been able to give so generously without the support and help from each of you!!
