Volunteer Spotlight: Juli Wisotsky

Meet our volunteer spotlight, Juli Wisotsky. She is an active member of our Board of Directors, and she is incredibly passionate about orphan care in her volunteering as well as her profession. Our Executive Director, Mary Lee Herron, had the following to say about Juli:

"Juli offers CFLM her all, despite her committed involvement to multiple other organizations and her own law practice where she helps families grow through adoption! Her passion and expertise in helping families through the adoption process has helped our staff and board better understand how we can be a helpful resource to our community. We are so grateful to have her in our family and love seeing families grow with her help!"

Occupation: Adoption Attorney

Volunteer Position: Board Member, Governance Committee Chair, Grant Committee Member

How did you first get involved with CFLM: I attended the first Choosing to Care Conference at Redeemer Presbyterian Church and talked to Nemili Johnson, and here I am!

What is your favorite memory from volunteering: Probably the skit we did at Redeemer one year - it was a lot of fun! And I got to be a superhero because I wrote the skit, haha!

What has surprised you most about working with CFLM: How much I enjoy the work we do and how it energizes me! I often get more than I give it seems.

What makes volunteering with CFLM meaningful for you: We are truly making a difference, and all the money we bring in goes to help orphans.

What is one of your hidden talents: Beekeeping

How did people describe you in your high school yearbook: They didn't. Long story, but basically I skipped the last two grades and went to college. So I missed a lot of the high school stuff.

If you could travel anywhere tomorrow, where would you go: Merced, California to see my son and his wife.
